Shorties XR's on a (non-stepped) Cigarette

Replacing drives on my 93' cafe racer this winter. Currently running standard Bravo 1's / 1.3 ratio. Thinking about going with XR 2" Shorties 1.5 ratio. Anybody out there running shorties on a non-stepped cigarette ? Is it worth trying shorties or stay with standard length lowers ????

Let me know if yo are going to move forward with shorties. I have a 1.5 -2 sportmaster that I tested for a couple of weekends this summer and found it didn't work well for me. I probably have less than 15 hours on it, and most of it was cruising in my sbc 23' boat. Went back to my Bravo 3.

I would reach out to Skramer on here first. He tried going the shortie route on his Cafe, and went back to regular length and was much happier.
