Help ID'ing Drives from Serial #'s
Hello OSO! Long time lurker, first time poster. First of all, a million thanks to the OSO community for providing noobs like me with a treasure-trove of information.
Now, on to the business at hand. I've been offered two drives with upper serial numbers as follows: OW230176 OW230622 Any way I can ID what type of uppers these are on the drives? I'm trying to figure out if these are standard Bravo 1's or 1x's. I really appreciate any help in advance! Mike |
Standard
0W230176 5231200R1 MERCRUISER BRAVO 1 1.50:1 You can also tell by looking at the u-joint retainer. The X has as series of holes, the standard is a "castle" style. |
Thanks for the quick reply, Marc!

Just so that you are aware, These two drives happen to be Remanufactured drives, Not that it matters that much, Because a Remanufactured drive is pretty much just as good as a new drive.

Serial number 0W230622 comes up as a MERCRUISER BRAVO 1 1.50:1 REMAN DRIVE BRAVO 1 1.50:1. Model number 5231200R1. The Manufacture Date was on 01/18/2006. |
