i need a mounting template for mounting a bravo 3...

i have been working on a 1974 magnum 25 sport and will be putting a sinlge 502 with bravo 3 in in instead of twins. i was looking for a paper template and also information and input on where to mount the drive. we are starting with a fresh blank trason and new stringers and were wondering if we should favor a higher mount or a lower mount. we are not looking for all out go fast because its more of a bar cruiser then go fast now. we will be having a crowd on the boat and need the boat to jump up on plane but also still top out reasonably. and input or experience is welcome. thank you

If it is possible to space a BIII drive down(I'm not sure if it is or not), I would mount propshaft about 5½" below keel, and then if needed, install a spacer. That way you can fine tune it to your likeing.

Just an idea.

Good luck with the project.

Here is where you can order a paper template.

You can also get the cutout jig if you prefer. It makes things a lot easier.

I'd consider buying the drill jig. The top angled holes will make it worth it alone. Plus no chance to be drilling the holes off perpendicular to teh transom, and than have to do whatever means to straighten them up.
Then sell the jig if you wish. They aren't all that costly.

use the jig only way to go, buy or borrow one
