drive shower issues...
I have my outdrive raised 3 inches which causes a problem with buying a drive shower. The cavatation plate is not riding on top of the water when running and trimmed. I would like to get a drive shower to keep my outdrive cooler..so what can I do besides running a transom mounted pickup?

How is your water pressure as it comes in through the drive? Do you have pressure to spare? You could run a T off of your cooling system and run a thru-hull dump onto the drive.
However, you are probably just better off buying a finned top cap (assuming Bravo) and take it easy on the drive. A shower is not going to "save" your drive. |

It will work fine, the water will hit the cavitation plate. After the water leaves the transom it rises back up.

ya, im not saying that the drive shower will "save" my drive. But it will end all the chaulky white calcuim build up that is caused from the heat of the drive..and it must do something..otherwise why would people buy them??? But this could lead to the "To Run, OR Not To Run" a drive shower debate..he jeff what drive shower you run since I know you have your x raised too..

Teague's drive shower has a couple different pick-ups to choose from. I'm sure one of these will work for you. From experience, they move A LOT of water. Never had any white build up on my drive. Good luck.
