supposedly its a newer version of the scx drive with a -4 lower and a raised cav plate. A true surface drive. I cant wait!!!

Someone please tell me that it bolts on without any modifications in place of my current Bravo One XR Sportmaster! Then please tell me it will handle 1000 hp. Oh, please only tell me this if it is true. Fingers crossed! :drink:

It looks like my SCX upper with a modified cav plate...therefore...with a helmet change...it would bolt your current transom assembly.

I run about 1040 hp through my SCX upper/ SC lower combo...and have yet to break it.

The lower looks like a shortened SCX lower (-4")...which is much stronger than a SC lower.

looks sweeeet!!! hopefully they can have some ready soon. Im getting tired of blowing propshafts on my sc lower. the scx uppers work flawlessly for me with 1300hp so im sure the new scx lower will also be able to handle some big hp. Its about time!!!

What props bolt up to it?

JasonKelowna 04-30-2011 06:13 PM

There are 2 options with the scx lower, a #6 drive propshaft or a 1 7/16 shaft that accepts the square bore bravo style props. Looks like imco really did their homework on this new drive.

Looks very promissing and I like that it can come with either shaft option... although if you're looking for something like this the 6 shaft probably makes the most sense.

One question, since this appears to basically be a surface drive, how large of a prop will it accept?
