Coupler and Splines

When installing my Bravo 1's I load the drive splines with grease. Do I have to also put grease into the coupler zerks or is that not needed?

Where do those coupler zerks dump grease?

Be careful about OVERLOADING them with grease. It won't compress and if you get too much in the coupler you won't get the drive all the way in.

Loading was probably a poor choice of words. I grease the splines with spline grease when installing the drives. They slide right on. I was just wondering if I have to grease the coupler at the same time? Those coupler zerks are a pain to get to.

Back of the coupler splines is open. Any excess would just be pushed out.

Yes, you should still grease the zerks with a few pumps each after the drive is installed.

The back of the coupler is open and the grease will dump into the area on the flywheel where the bolts mount it. It will start to creep it's way out toward the center. And it will creep out over the rubber donut on the outside. So keep it lubed, but not over do it. A couple of pumps are good.

I never use the zerks always pull the drive and do it as you do by applying directly to the splines. The zerks point to the splines.
