Measure your X and see if you need -2

THe boat I just bought had -2, and he took them off, as they were too short, and the boat prop walked sideways. I think Imco can also help you out the maximum drive height. On my previous boat I raised the drive 3", and it make a huge improvement (remounted the entire drive and engine...) Worth every penny in my case. |
Nobody shortens stock Bravo's. Somebody was trying a few years ago and it was just not worth the time and effort involved.

Ask a lot of people with similar boats before plunking down the scratch for an imco shortie. I like mine but it cavitates pretty bad at times (slower speeds unless tabs are set just right). I also didn't gain speed but at least i have the drive ready for some bigger power.

Measured my X and came up with 7 1/2". Im sure I can get away with Atleast 1" but would like -2 . There aren't that many 29 profiles out there from what I see but the boat runs pretty flat and handles great so far. Very rarely have to use any tab at all
