Number V conversion

So I will doing the Trs to #V conversion over this winter and spring, and had a question about the tailstock on the transmission. I know I have to change the tailstock for the speedmaster drive and wondered if this can be done through the whole in the transom once the gimbles are removed, or will I be pulling motors to tackle that one? Thanks in advance guys!

You won't want the motors in the way while making this conversion. You will need to pull the motors anyway to change the inner transom plate.

Okay, that's what I was thinking. Also do the motors have to be moved back when doing this swap? Or will this distance stay the same?

Yes, they will move back. Its about 3"...cant' remember exact measurement, but there definitely not in the same place!

Email me at [email protected] and I will send you a pic
