does X dimension change installing scx/bmax

if i change from a imco upper and lower to a imco scx or bmax will my x dimension change? my current prop height is perfect, if i upgrade to the imco scx or bmax, with bigger gears, will it effect the depth that the prop is in the water? from what i understand the the two new drives are slightly longer in overall length (bigger gears) and with the back of boat at a angle that would put the prop deeper in the water. i wonder i this i why some people loose a couple of mph when upgrading drives?

Bmax is the same length as a Bravo drive.

ok so the bmax is exactly the same length from transom to back of drive? i am almost positive that the scx is slightly longer front to back which with the angle of transom would put prop shaft slightly deeper in the water. wish i could find specific dimensions on all three to compare. i read on these forums the scx was longer (slightly) because of larger diameter gears. is this:bsflag:

Waconda knows. He is the Bravo Shop.

IMO, even if they do push the drive back 1-2 inches because of the larger upper, I doubt it will move the actual propshaft down more than 1/8-1/4"

I would call waconda/John at The Bravo Shop to discuss it.

From the helmet face to center of vert shaft is 3.750 and from input shaft to prop shaft is 21 3/4. Hope this helps!
