Bravo serial #
Are the serial numbers actually casted into the case or is it just printed on the original sticker on the upper??
Some of the time they are stamped into the case under the sticker also.
They are all stamped into the casting on the port side under the one decal. If you peel the sticker you'll still have to strip the paint. If you use a wire wheel be careful! To much or to coarse of a wheel and you'l; wipe them away in seconds!!! Thet are stamped lightly with a thin "font" if you will.
Looking for numbers on mine too. The stickers are blank. I searched for and read a lot of related threads on here, but didn't find a clear answer - until this thread. Any pics?

If the upper case has been replaced, then the serial number would be gone, unless it was stamped in the new case, by the tech doing the work.
When they are stamped from the factory, it usually will imprint the metal underneath. New decals would cover that, so it could be underneath. Easier to pull the top or back cap to than replace $100+ set of decals. But just taking a peek wont tell the whole story. Hope that helps. Dick |
Thanks guys now does anybody have a link that ties te serial #s to the years they were manufactured?
if your engine, drive and transom were sold as package and registered you just need 1 of those 3 numbers to get dealer to check. baja seems to be hit and miss, don't know about fountain.
