Bravo 1 generations info ?????
What are the differences in the different generations of Bravo I Outdrives?
Also what year did they change? How many generations are they? Any help would greatly appreciated. thx Frank |

Frank, they made a lot of different changes over the years. The first group was the 88-89 Bravo 1 that has a short length bullet.
Then came the longer bullet, but they added oil passage ways in them. Serial numbers up to OL had thin floored gears. OM and newer have thick floored gears. OW is the hump back. It is so hard to give a history or all the changes. What specifically are you looking for?? Dick |
well from the two I have assuming 89(ebay) 90(came with boat), both have oil drain plug in the front of the torpedo, neither has upper to lower oil passages, but the 1990 has the passage for the external resevoir.

One other thing, the early Bravo's did not have the plastic wear pads.
I have had to weld build back up the this area on my last drives. |
