Trim

I want to limit my outdrive trim. When in the all up trailer position it will hit the swimstep. Does anyone make stops for this?
tks

There was a kit for switching from B1 to XR when they used the old style large ujoints, for a new gimble bearing. The bearing was offset .050" and there were trim limit spacers included in the kit, that were installed inside the trim rams. This prevented the drive from being lifted to high and pinching/cracking the yoke, because of the size of the ujoints.

The spacers are available alone, pn 15768A3. Looks like you get two spacers in a kit for about $11. Not sure how thick they are or how much it limits the movement. That would help with your problem. I think that would be the easiest solution to your problem.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for your reply, I will look at that.

There is a circuit built in the drive designed to stop the drive before you over trim. Higher then this you use the tilt or trailer button to get up the rest of travel. You can forgo the trim limit and run the tilt through the switch and set the earmuffs to stop the unit any place you want.
good luck
