volvo drive help!
 

My Volvo 280 outdrive pops out of the water when it is put into reverse. What adjustments can be made to prevent that from happening? With and without it tilted i have the same result and it kills me when im anywhere trying to park.

any suggestions will be a big help!

first make sure your reverse safety lock is their,working and not froze..if you look at the diagram #44 which is the rod that locks the drive from flipping up when in reverse,when you let the drive down and when the motor retracts all the way is when the safety lock locks the drive from flipping up..once the motor is all the way up this little pin goes through the base where the motor arem presses on and unlocks the drive so the lifting motor can lift the drive..
BTW,the lifting motor only puts the drive up or down,dont try to use it for trim or you will ruin it..
