i have a 27 daytona with currently a 496ho with cmi sport tubes in it. (i know boring) but i have a 525efi out of my last 26 daytona im eventually going to put in it. but for now im thinking of putting a 2" shorty lower on it. does anyone have any experiance with this set up with a 496ho. i think it will be good for the 525efi but until i can get it ready i was going to buy a lower. i already know im going to need a 5 blade to get it on plane. but ive been told from numerous people it will pick up anywhere from 4 to 8 mph. i would love some feed back on this. currently running a 28 bravo thats been blueprinted and tweeked running my current set up right at 79mph on gps and 80 on good day. thanks

those are some impressive #'s with the HO! can't really help with your question but if you want to unload those sport tubes down the road when you do the 525 swap hit me up!
