How to get gimble assemblies OFF :/
 

Yes I know it sounds stupid, but.. Well we have been having a helluv a time trying to get these off. They are stuck on like no other. We do not want to pry on them in fear of breaking them. we were thinking to try and maybe get them started with piano wire. Any body else have a secret we do not know about? Starting to become a pita. YES ALL THE BOLTS ARE LOOSE. hahaaha

Someone else recently was having the same issue. Get the inboard transom assembly off, and then remove the studs. At least with those gone, you'll be able to wiggle it to get it started.

If somebody put 5200 or something in there, they could be glued on something fierce.

Take a block of wood between the motor mounts and then place a small jack between the block and one of the studs it will press right off,might have to cut the 5200 with a razor once it starts to seperate

It will pretty much fall off, if you remove the studs. The wood in the transom is swelled around the studs.

somebody else mentioned torches for 5200. i would think a heat gun would do the trick. get small jack pushing on housing and hit it with the heat.

I had someone suggest that I seal my Bravo T/A's with 5200 and I thought it would be a bad idea.

If you are dealing with 5200 you might consider calling 3M and ask them about a releasing agent . That stuff is tough.
