XR pushing too much water?

i believe my xr is pushing too much water...since i installed it,water comes out of the intercooler at idle (Whipple says it shouldn't) and the main hose from the outdrive popped off from the exhaust manifold, filling the bilge with water...it's a DWP....i remember reading something about that somewhere here, but can't find it...
motor is 496 with closed cooling,with a 2.3 whipple....any ideas,solutions?....thanks

see the [too much water pressure thread] in general disscussion
you need a water pressure gauge plumbed to your block drain to monitor your pressure , did your old bravo have high or side water p/u? i wouldnt think you would want to block intake holes
the water pressure thread has some great info on pressure relief valve install

Need to buy the high $ water bypass valve and install before the water pump. The bypass is made to open up at 25psi and bypass water overboard. As you do your search here on OSO you will find the part # There are other options but not as good as the mercurser part.
