Paint vs no Paint?

Hey guys,

Kinda new so here is one for you... I have seen both painted lowers and bare aluminum lowers on performance/race boats... What advantages does not having one painted do? I would think it has something to do with reducing drag, etc... Can somebody shed some light on this for me? Thanks! Rob

supposed to be faster. I highly doubt there are any actual gains for 99.9% of us. maybe on a race boat you'll notice it.

Does look cool though so I'm all for it

The only advantage is the paint doesn't fall off the lower. Don't think you will see any mph difference. And it looks cool.
