help help, new drives positions.
i am changing power from 550 hp to 1100 hp on my 1997 fountain full stagger with small steps. i have found a set of ssm 6 that i will replace instead of my bravo/imco drives.
so the question is, does anybody know exactly how high and wide i shall install my new ssm 6 drives to get optimal speed? i have tried to write fountain factory, and i have tried wyatt fountain but without any luck. i hope somebody read this, and can help me locate exactly where i shall install my new ssm 6. thanks |

We have no information on your boat. You will have to contact the manufacturer. As far as set up we cannot accurately determine what to do without having the boat on site along with the engines, drives and propellers. i live in alicante spain, like i tried to explain to wyatt its not possible for me to bring the boat to his garage in usa. here in spain most of the mecanics do diesel engines, nobody around here knows about powerboats. hmm |
messsage
did you get my message?

There is a little more to it than cutting two holes and patching the bravo cutouts than ez breezy. There is a drilling jig to start with. The positioning is precise to realize the full benefit. I know spain is remote but I would really hunt to find a expert or Fly someone in to to the layout. You can screw it up to the point it doesn't work..even some usa builders have buried the drives to the point of no return.
