Smokin' gun. I purchased two of them for my 502s. I see the id of the SS piece is about 5/8. It is about the same size of the plastic pieces that hold the hose in place in the inner transom assembly and helmet. That say they have sold many with no complaints. The only way to get more water flow is thru hull fitting. I understand the transom mount slows the boat down a couple miles.
