That is great to hear! What kind of power did you have to run that fast? That is moving on for one of these barges! Any chine walking?

What kind of horsepower are you running on each side? I just bought a 280 and rigging dyno tuned 470 hp bbc. Also what props would you recommend? Is that on GPS?

Just answered my own question about GPS. :poopoo:

the boat used to porpoise badly with the stock power. the new power drives thru any porpoise and the shortys help even more. The boat does chine walk a little but with the shortys I only use a little trim just to square drives with bottom of hull and the boats handles pretty well. I am running about 550 horsepower per side with 26 pitch bravo ones at 5600 rpm. I am looking for 28 pitch bravo ones for this summer.

Not to get to far off topic, but what about a 265 DVX? only 20 degree vs the 23-34 degree on the ES's

I got 23 p mirage 3 blades with the boat. They were ran with stock 330 hp mags. Maybe I need 26 pitch props!

with 470 hp and stock drives I would try 25 pitch three blades. The four blades might cruise good but boat will feel slow to excelerate. My 280 sport liked 3 blades before the shortys.

Thanks for the advice. It's a whole other project playing with props. My last boat had about 6 different blades on her. I didn't have enough time to dial in. Sold it when I was right there! Go figure. Maybe prostock has what I need! Thanks for the offer on props.
