X dimension for 24

Going to place a bravo 1 outdrive on my 24 P&D and not sure of the x dimension. I have a sbf 351 pushing about 350 hp. What am I looking it to have a good height for beat all around? I was told 17 1/4'' then 17 and now 16 1/2'' and I want to have this done within the next week if possible

Thank you

Sorry ,can't answer on the x dimension but i'm curious, what bell housing are you using to hook a ford motor to bravo transom plates?

Sbc bell housing drilled to fit a ford

2" higher than a stock Bravo works best on that hull (cav plate 2" above keel), We raced a 26' Corsa that was 2" high and it was perfect. Still enough bite to carry the nose and high enough for good top speed. You'll find that 3 blade mirage props are faster than most others, but these days you can get 4 blades that do pretty well.

Where can I get the information that shows me where the stock bravo goes? Is that a general rule of thumb about the 2" for the bravos or just simply for these boats?

measure from cav plate to drive shaft center. drop a ruler on the back of the hull. that would be where crank center would go with cav plate lining up with keel. donzi is saying go 2 inches above that. but old saying about measure twice-cut once? measure at least 5 times. then go inside hull with that measurement and measure up from crank center to top of engine and see where that is under the hatch.

I am doing the same thing to an 87 Donzi Z25. Does raising bravo cav plate 2 inches above keel apply to a Z25?
