Thanks for the link aldrichge. I read through the article and it all sounds pretty complicated to me so I think I'll just send it to OP. I am a boater on a budget and my fear is if I try to save a few bucks by doing this myself and I screw it up I will be faced wtih a MUCH larger bill!

Am I understanding everyone correctly that I will need to do this same procedure to change the impeller EVERY season!! If thats the case I am going to need to learn how to do this eventually...
