Drive noise at top speed?

I took my 22 scarab to the lake today, I changed props from my 25 mirage to a 22 bravo, when I got on the water I got to top speed with drive trimmed up, it only happed about every minute or so , I began to hear a random pop or clunk, it was pretty loud, sounded like a u-joint noise, you could feel it thu-out the boat I backed of the throttle and it would not do it, only at top speed or WOT , trim made no difference, when I got home I check the trim limit , it was dead on at 21 3/4, anybody had this happen? Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance

How many RPM were you turning at WOT with the Bravo I as compared to the Mirage? You may have been getting into the rev limiter.

I don't recall, I think it was around 4800 , I didnt seem like a rev limit, but that is a good thought. I don't remember the rpm cutting out at all, only a loud clunk, every 30 to 45 seconds I don't think it would be a clutch cone, it should be in or out, it seems if it was the u joint, it would do it all the time. I'm just lost for a direction to look.
