Bravo III bolt Type/Size

I have a tiebar and pair of showers to install on my 2002 Bravo III.

I am remembering the bolts on the outdrive and gear housing cap are not normal six-sided bolts, but can't remember exactly what they are.

Can anyone help? What are they and will a regular socket fit?

I'd go and look myself, but we keep the boat 4 hours away and I want to be sure I have the right tools when I get to the boat next.

They are 3/8 12 point.
