How do you treat outdrive rubber?

I'm in the process of having some work done on our Bravo 3 outdrive. While it was in the shop I had all of the rubber parts replaced e.g. bellows etc. In the past I always sprayed Armor All after each use. But I was just recently told that may not be the best with the newer rubber components. Does anyone have any suggestions?

thank you

My bad,. I misread the original post. He said "outdrive" rubber.

In that case, I don't know. I never spray my rubber outdrives with anything.

I tried a shorty rubber outdrive but it was HARD to keep the boat going straight due to the flex, HO ever it was kid friendly, only downside is rubber props are be cuming HARD to find

Don't need rubber, her coupler has a diaphragm.

OEM rubber ...no protectant = years of service

best way to treat outdrive rubber is to replaace it before it leaks. or whenever the gimball is disassembled...you try to spray anything, you will only get the parts you can see, and get spray in your eyes for the trouble.
