SCXs drain plugs

Noticed changing my oil that the plugs are Not magnets like XRs.
Anybody figured out a way to do this? Sure liked looking at mags when changing oil.

I put magnetic drain plugs on mine. Nothing has shown up yet. There's another magnet in the sump helping collect debris too.

Whats up with this other magnet in the sump? How do you get at it?

You have to separate the upper and lower. It's in there somewhere. I'm not gonna worry about it. My drain plug magnets looked perfect after 80? hours Upper gears show NO signs of anything, darn near looked new.

OK Thanks, I'm not going to worry about it either. When I changed the Torco at 6 hours and at 25 hours it looked like the day I put it in there. Im at 40 hours now, I'll change it in the Spring before I take it out.

MarkDonzi has probably close to 50 hours on his.....oil looked like brand new each time he changed it. He is having them separated to have everything checked, ill ask him to post up on what the magnets showed.

I like those! Do they fit in any standard Bravo casing?

Imagine how much easier it will be to put in the lower drain plug after refilling when you have it attached to the end of a nut driver; instead of fubling around, making a mess, and trying to get that screwdriver in the damn oil covered slot.

I'd think a nice recessed Allen head would be even better; with hex on the outside incase you strip the recess.
