Alpha SS lower gear set help

So I have a SS that has a tired pinion gear and forward gear and need to swap them out. Will any Alpha gen 1 gear set fit the bill?

The gear set in a alpha 1 Gen1 are the same for upper and lower gears. The upper housing is shorter and the lower housing has a Nose cone made on it,the drive shaft is shorter.and is made from unatainum.LOL John Sr

Thanks for the responses... ok so this is where I am getting confused... I have two different part numbers for the forward and pinion gears... the original SS diagram calls for the 43-17064A3 and the new updated gears is 43-878087A4.

With this in mind should I still use any alpha gen one gears?

Is the SS number any good?If the standard gears are not as strong I would still use them.Rather buy more gears than break the short drive shaft you can't get them. JOHN SR

Yeah the SS number is still good... I found the forward gear and pinion about 2.5 hours away at another dealer... said he would sell me the set for 200.00 bucks... said its been sitting on his shelf from 1990 he thinks... lol So thats what Im going to go with.
