Trim problems. Have you ever seen this before?
I Have a 38 Fountain Sport fish with 525's & bravo's. I was getting water in the trim reservoir on the starboard side. I took the rams off & changed the ends and all of the seals. Installed them back on the boat & tested for leaks. I held the drive (on the trailer) with a strap & tested for leaks under pressure up & down the trim cycle. No leaks visible & in fact held fluid pressure for hours. Put the boat back into the water and tested. Water again present in the reservoir almost immediately after trimming up & down planned off. I then swapped out the rebuilt rams with a another set of good rams. Cleaned out the system tested again on land with no leaks present. Launched and ran the boat and again water in the reservoir. No cracked seats on any of the lines, no cracks or leaks on manifold on the bottom of the gimbal. Now the portside trim also has water in the tank. Could it be that the fluid pressure on the drive from the prop pushing the fluid faster than the pump can pull it cause such an issue? The boat is heavy but there are other boats with bravo's that I have not seen this issue with. Can anyone make sense of this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
