Another question , starting motor w/drive removed

With my drive off ypper & lower (alpha one) how can i provide adaquate water to run motor for trouble shooting and timming.
Say 10-15 minutes.
Thanks for the help.

Easy, reach behind the motor to the transom assembly. Undo the water hose that comes from the transom assembly to the motor. Prop the end of the hose up and stick the garden hose in it. You now have full water flow and can run the motor all weekend if you want.

If it is a long weekend you would need a long hose, correct?

Thank you, simple solutions for simple problems.

In that case, hope his long hose doesn't leak. Could get expensive !

That's why you put it in the helmet.

For about $10 at walmart you should be able to buy the fittings to thread a garden hose directly onto the hose from your transom fitting. It won't leak and it won't come undone when you bump the hose.
