Nice... Don't know how high your X is but, if its possible I would cut about 2 inches off the bottom of the skeg , and I bet you will get an extra 2 mph just there.

Yes prop shaft was 2" above bottom lowered 1/2" slip went down speed went up,going to try a little more to see what happens, also boat ran much better more control.
Also I have a few prop choices we've pretty much decided on our next move which most likely will be five blade. However I'm a firm believer in hearing out other people's experiences especially someone like yourself who has so much Progression knowledge what would you suggest? |

Omni you and I are in a world of firsts in that no has run my gear case on a single V hull, same as no one has run ETECs on a Progression hull. Not sure how your gear cases react. The one good move you are making is Hydraulic jack plates so you can easily adjust drive height, same with props, keep testing to see what works.Sorry I don't have more to add but if you want to get the most out of your set up it takes time and money.Progression Boats and myself have put a lot of time and testing into my boat and we are still not done, but getting close to finish.then again you always want more.

While I am on this subject I would like to put a big thank you out to Kevin at Progression Boats for putting up with me and putting the time into my set up.Also the case has gone back to IMCO for minor changes as we went along. When I bought this boat I did some research and decided on my engine and drive package, for dependability and performance,so far we have met our expectations, this hull is awesome

Welcome to the ground breaking club I'm sure you've done your home work and I completely understand the performance/dependability factor these boats are no good to anyone if they don't work. Regarding Kevin I'm sure you spend a lot of time with him doing your set up. Please convey that I concur with you he his staff whenever I've reached out they where beyond professional true class acts and a superior product! Kevin suggested IMCO to me for my steering one season down trouble free and dealing with them was a pleasure. Once again thanks for your honesty and if I may did you fabricate the bumper holders or was that done by Progression? |
