I can't answer your question about the size of the tube so you might have to try a few different sizes to see if it helps out with your problem , When I asked about installing some on my drives I was told it was for boats that had big props and could not spin them fast enough it get it on plane and was told it would not help me and what I needed was more blades or cup on the props that I had to get it up on plane faster

Interesting! What are you running for a setup?

Nice setup! What's your prop numbers? Does it have trouble getting up on plane?

Here is my setup. This was taken with the 25 4 blades but I am currently running the 29.5 3 blades and the boat behaves so much better!

I won't have time this year but I might throw together some tubes for next year just to try them, at least it would answer the question. If they don't work I can always take them off easy enough!

The props I have now are 17" dia x35 16'rake . If I compare the plane time with when it had bravo's yes it's a longer amount of time to plane off . but I know if i treated the bravo's like i am treating the arnesons they would be all busted up again

I will put my go-pro on the boat this weekend and show you how long it takes me to get on plane

about 10 seconds to plane!

You got me I timed it all day and I was averaging about 20 seconds and we had a small craft warning out on the swamp https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1_Re99v8RE

So 20 seconds isn't terrible and it's about exactly what I saw with my 4 blades! Are you using tab? With just me and the girlfriend in the boat we could get on plane with the 4 blades without any tab. Add another 2 bodies and you needed tab or she would just plow for ever. The three blades, never need tab even with 5 adults in the boat! Totally different behavior, now I just wish the 3 blades ran as smooth as the 4's!

As a test you should try to put your hands on a set of 3 to try? I would love to see how it behaves!
