Trs swivel pins
How the Hell do you get that bottom swivel pin out of a TRS transom assembley.Or the tilt pins I have the tool for the tilt pins but can't get them to budge/ HELP
try some heat,,they get corroded in there pretty good.should have a helper, makes removal a little easier.
I have had to weld a bolt to the side swivel pins to remove them before.. the bottom one with an air hammer but the trick is to get the cotter pin out
Swivel pins have red Loctite on them from factory...heat is your friend
30 $ air hammer or chisel at home depot, a little heat and don't worry about the cotter pin. It will sheer off.
Cut the bellows out to get it out of your way. Your going to replace it anyway. Hing pins thread into the bell housing so heat them on the inside of the bell housing to loosen the Loctite. Make sure they become loose enough to remove and you aren't just using excessive force. You can pull the threads right out of the bell if not carefull. With bell housing removed you should be able to knock the lower swivel pin out.
