bravo 1 and 2 diff?
i think i just screwed up. bought a parts boat for the bravo setup. 24 arriva. (GO BAYLINER!!!) so i looked it over and all was in nice shape except shot interior and cracked 454 block. i go home and start looking at bayliner forums to see if i can find anybody needs misc junk off this hull and i see all 454 arrivas were built with bravo 2 drives. (here is an addendum to worst perf boats ever built thread...bayliner marketed it as a perf boat and put sundancer-houseboat drives on em!) anyway, i think i have a 2 inch space above the 23 mirage prop. (not here gotta pick it up yet) when you put a spacer in a B1 to lower the x it goes above the cav plate, correct? and what makes the driveshaft longer? is there any use as a perf lower for somebody who put his x higher than he needs? or is this lower only marketable to someone with a cruiser who leaves it in the salt till it dissolves?

Yes, it is above the cav plate. The spacer kits come with longer studs and couplers. So to pull it out you will need stock studs & coupler.
But I have good news - If it has a mirage it can't be a Bravo 2, a Mirage wont fit a B2. |
I had a 1997 2552 Arriva all stock 454 and a B-1 with a mirage prop, I dont think all your info is correct,
|
I am hoping i am wrong. Guy said boat did 60 (wishometer) with 23 mirage prop. Would be screaming at 5500 to 6000 rpm with 1.8 or 2.0 drive.

i missed this second line reading on my phone at work. Whew! |
A drive spacer goes between the upper and lower. The spacer kits include longer studs and a longer coupler to connect the upper and lower shafts.
They may have a smaller diameter Mirage prop on it that was designed for an Alpha drive. |
Ok. Definately a B 1. Just picked up boat. Anybody need any bayliner parts?
