Konrad PRS 540 ???
 

Hey guys im new to this board and was looking for some feedback on these drives to replace my current trs drive.

mine have been flawless behind pfaff 750s only 12 hrs though .. they look awsom too .I believe they rob a little more power than a standard trs /bravo . i might be wrong though

I've never heard about them robbing any hp. But suppose to run 5-7mph faster than TRS with just swap? Some things to watch for. Depending If your transom is painted or not, if they painted around the TRS gimbal you will need to re shoot the transom because the konrad gimbal is about 1/4" smaller. Also, need to shorten tie bar. And swap the manifolds on the trim lines to use your std trim lines. The konrad manifold used a bigger threaded fitting. I should be testing my customers Konrads hopefully this weeken

Thanks for the info guys. Couple more questions does the transmission mount to the transom adapter the same as the trs? and is the drive any shorter than the trs?

I used an adaptor for the trim lines. -3 to -4 inverted flair

The transom plate is slightly smaller. I was able to use a nice bead of black caulk around mine and you can't see the the paint line

My old Top Gun, (now owned by OSO member I'CE) was the very first performance boat to be converted to Konrad's, It was done March 2004. Well over 500 hrs, zero issues and he's still running the same drives. -Never been apart.

Who sells rebuilt Konrads, best place to get em, I have a line on a pair but their in Canada

Same here, too cheap. Made me suspicious. Wish there were more available on the used market as viable cost option for trs replacement.
