Imco scx question

Need some help. Imco scx's - shut one engine down with drive in gear. Couldn't get drive out of gear. When I got back in disconnected outdrive shift cable from shift linkage. I can get neutral and reverse by manually moving cable but no forward. Can't get any cable movement for forward. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try turning the prop while moving the shift cable? Try turning the prop while you shift it. Unless the drive is damaged it should go into either gear while you turn the prop..

Tinkerer I did try to spin it and still can't get forward. Thanks for the feedback!

Bypass the neutral safety switch and start it in gear and see if you can move it after running.

Tell me You didn't force it into neutral when it was stuck - IF you did you may have bent the shifting fork. GOOD LUCK

If you forced it could have damaged the shift linkage or broke a set screw holding the linkage

Tinkerer, Griff & 253 thanks for your help. Removed drive and it's on it's way back to IMCO. Should know next week what happened.

Curious what the problem is, please let us know when you get a report from IMCO
