I think if you put a spacer to match in the port side drive you`ll get even better results!

F*uck it who needs a second spacer when you have paint like that! Nobody sees that $hit underwater anyway!

why not just ditch the boxes? Or go with neatrals? Seem like a ton of work to try to cool the drives. I dont see drive showers either, if they are properly cooled at speed, why would they need to be in the water at idle?
Just throwing it out there 2. Center of gravity 3. Exhaust holes in transom had to have custom spacers made 4. The exhaust is to close the fiberglass so any wire or cable i am worried will melt over time 5. It is only my labor to pull the engines and boxes and hopefully the shop that set it up, will fix there f up! There are drive showers on them now sorry plum crazy did not mean to hijack your post. I meant to ask you does the boat handle any different with the drive down 2 inches? |

I'm heading out this weekend to try some 4-blade Bravos. If they get on plane, they should be faster than anything so far. There's no way I would have considered them before the spacers. |

I'm heading out this weekend to try some 4-blade bravos. If they get on plane, they should be faster than anything so far. There's no way i would have considered them before the spacers. With the one inch spacer my results have been interesting 30 4 blade bravo's with the satin finish i run 84-85 at 6000 rpm and pops right on plane. My cruise 35-40 mph at 3500rpm 26 5 blade hydromotives consistently ran 84 -85 mph and one time 87mph at 6000 rpm but blows the props getting on plane unless ride the wake or play with the throttles. 50 mph at 3500 rpm and chine walks at wot 2 inch spacers 87mph 6000 rpm consistently better getting on plane but still blows out the props. I do not think i had the same amount of fuel and the temprature was definitley lower and less humitdity this weekend i am trying the 4 blades for giggles. |
I got out today with some 28P Bravos. To my surprise, the boat jumped right on plane, the best of any prop I've tried. But, the pitch was too low. I hit the limiters and saw 5500 RPM with only neutral trim. Speed matched my best with the Herings and was still accelerating. 30P should do the trick.

are the 28 pitch props yours? I have a set of 30 bravo 4 blades that ultimately I think I will need 28 pitched props. I could spin my 30's to 6000 rpm but I had a lot of slippage, like in the 20% range. I have not run the boat with the 2 inch spacer and the 30's only the 26 5blade hydromotive

Remember the cooler weather will result in faster speeds anyways....
Thanks for the updates! |
