Seacore Transom vs Std/Mag/HP

I'm considering replacing my worn standard transom assemblies and was thinking of using either magnum or HP assemblies but I've come across a couple of Seacore assemblies. The primary point of the Seacore is corrosion protection so aside from that how does the Seacore compare to the various non Seacore options. Is it a corrosion resistant standard transom assembly? Is it a corrosion resistant magnum assembly? Wondering if the Seacore is more robust than a standard assembly and can it be used in performance applications?

The seacore transom assy has a ss swivel pin assy and a few other corrosion protection items

Ok, so is it a standard assembly with corrosion protection or a magnum assembly with corrosion protection or a HP assembly....

Standard/Magnum are the same.
HP just does not have electric trim senders.

No real strength difference between any of them.

I thought the HP ones had the slide hammer style hinge pins verses the small style on the regular TA's..........??

Thats why the ring mounted sensors go away. The hp tilts in the bell std and magnum tilt in the gimbal ring and can turn senders.back in the day i believe the hp used die cast instead of sand and had more meat in the lower pivot pin area. Ones now are probably made out of recycled KIA transmission cases .. in korea.

Mercruiser was nice enough to reply to my inquiry and stated that the Seacore is comparable to the Magnum.

"SeaCore transoms will come in Magnum, Smartcraft and Axius models. These are all one step up from the "Standard" model"
