Thanks Griff, how much older, like maybe mid 1990's, it came off a 1998 Baja, original boat owner says he didn't change it till now.
|
That comes up as a 1994 3.0LX engine, are you sure of the number?
|
and if that was for a 3.0L - 4 banger - the gear ratio would not be 1.50 either.
BAM are you around today - I would like to call you about something. Thanks John |
No not sure, seller says numbers are hard to read, says it could be an OL code., I'm gonna look at it Monday, upper tooth count is 1;50
Thanks |

Thanks for all the help,
I have a lot of pics of the drive & internal parts, definitely a Bravo1 , 1;50 ratio upper gear tooth count, thin floor gears , looks good , the upper bearing went bad so the owner bought a rebuilt unit , will know more More after I see it. |
OK, I inspected the Bravo1 today, it ,,OL,, Code, stamped very lightly and hard to see , used a magnifying glass to figure it out,, looks real good overall so I'm gonna install all new bearings/seals, etc. on upper & lower.
Thanks for all the Tech. help & info. Mike |
