Volvo Penta Drive Identification - When Tags Are Missing
 

I bought a VP drive that still has it's manufacture tag on it but there is no way to read it (it's been worn down and painted over). Is there another way to find out what gearing is used in the drive (assuming it is what was used at time of manufacture)?
