Installing a imco on a bravo

I just installed a imco -2 on a bravo. I noticed the studs barely touch the nylon of the lock nut. I used the thin washers. Was I supposed to use extended studs. Any info would be a great help

I back my studs out a. It and use green locktite on studs

I didn't have that problem with my -2 or -3.
