Shortcut - How to pressure test Bravo lower unit
1 Attachment(s)
We had a bunch of Bravo lowers to rebuild. Just lowers, no uppers and I was trying to figure out how to pressure test them without bolting on an upper - and BAM - it came to me. Here is the result. Do you think it is worth making a few to sell?

Looks like a good idea, send me a price for one.

Make the spacers for the test plate/tube for people that run spacers and longer studs
|
Mike, I have to see how many we mihgt make at one time. I'll let you know once I get an idea for the demand.
Yes - spacers are a good idea. But I don't think the tube length will change. |
neat idea....maybe drill/tap the base block for an air line connection and a psi gauge so its all in one place that way you dont need to go through the drain port and just button it up???
|
Actually I did tap the end of the tube on ours after we used it once, it's just not in that photo.
|
I like the idea or taping the tube,,keep the drain plug in place during testing.
