Default Broken Bravo Gimble ring..

Tested my buddy's 5 blade 29 pitch Cutting Edge prop today... Boat ran GREAT overall !

No, I don't have the hydraulic steering installed.. yet ...

Was running pretty hard through some slop and the boat suddenly listed / pulled to one side....

Got it back to the trailer and found that the trim rams had broken off of the gimble ring..
I've never seen one fail this way.. Any idea why so it doesn't happen again ?

THANKS !

Doug

If you're interested I have diesel transom assembly for sale. It has a much stronger gimbal ring (same as the HP assemblies) but you still are able to use your electronic trim senders. PM if interested.

It looked to me like someone ran into the boat while it was on the trailer. I can't see how that happened with the HP and weight of that boat..

The transom assembly came off a 1988 Celebrity cruiser so who knows what happened to it before I got it..

Don't think I was trimmed up all that far at first, may have bent the cylinder trying to steer / trim after it broke...

Just scary as I was only running 80.. Not sure if I want to install my supercharger on this thing..
