I've heard a sound similar to that twice before. Both times it was a broken input shaft on the drive. Especially if you hear it coming from the back of the motor like that. Pull the plugs on the drive and see if theres metal on them.
Easy way to diagnose would be to pull the drive off and start the motor for a few seconds, see if the sound is still there. If not, you know its in the drive. If it is, you know its in the motor. The motor can run for a few seconds with no water hooked up, just long enough to diagnose then shut it off.
