Imco vs Arneson surface drives on a single 800HP 22' Donzi
Has anyone thought of or switched to Arneson surface drives? I've researched the costs and there slightly more money than complete SCX upper, SC lower, trans some assembly, helmet, etc but it appears to have some cool benefited. Less Maintanance, less parts, slightly high top speeds (maybe 3 to 8mph from what I've read)? Anyone know?

I personally do not have any experience with an arneson drive except for what they sent me for a cost to replace my outdrive. I am going to pick up a spare outdrive from a guy in the bay area this weekend that has a Donzi he is installing one in. I am hoping he has the arneson parts around so I can check them out as I have never seen one in person. I plan on asking him some questions on it so hopefully I can get some information.

What model boat? What's top speed at what altitude? What motor? What intake? Thank you.

Great! Please share your info. Boat model? Motor? Intake? Possibly his contact info. The info the better. Arneson 7M is $24,000 plus another $2,000 to $3,000 in additional supporting parts. So the more info the better before pulling the trigger. Thanks again!
