Drive Trim Oil????

What kind of oil goes in the trim rams? I've heard it depends on the setup which I'm not sure what exactly I have other then standard Bravo drives that were upgraded to XRs

I think my trim pump says on it what it wants, I want to say it says ATF or straight 30 weight motor oil.

I use this in my trim pumps.

and automatic transmission fluid in my power steering.

oil or trans fluid just depends on what color it is.

All my boats have used engine oil. I think Merc specs straight 30wt.

Merc specs their trim fluid or 10 W 30 and in the past years listed 10 W 30 and 10 w 40.

In the past all I ever used was straight 30W oil. However, for our current boat I was told to use power steering fluid. I don't have the owners manual in front of me but whatever that says I would go with.

This is what I got from the owners manual -

Power Trim System - Quicksilver Power Trim and Steering Fluid,
or SAE 10W-30 motor oil.

I run the quicksilver power trim and steering fluid. Its expensive though

It's more like motor oil color then power steering fluid. Thanks for the input.
