Bravo Drive or Something in the drive line sounds like a bad bearing
 

So here is the story port drive or something makes a kinda bad bearing sound once put in to gear either forward or reverse same thing. Cant figure it out have had the drive gone through completely twice by two very reputable mechanics. The whole transom is brand new (less then 40 hours) Upper gears, u joints and bearings are less then 40 hours. Like I said I have had two very reputable mechanics go through the drive top to bottom and both say everything is good to go. Also the prop is tight. Has anyone experienced something like this? thanks

Did you install a new Gimble Bearing

You could swap drives and see if noise moves with drive or stays on same side. And you could swap lowers also if noise does move. Reducing the stuff you need to tear into.

This is crucial:

If the sound is ALL the time when the engine is running, it's likely the gimble bearing or U-joints. Remember that your drive shaft is spinning ANYTIME the engine is running in a Bravo setup. The "gear shift" takes place in the cone clutch in the top of the drive.

If the sound is ONLY when the drive is in forward or reverse, you likely have something shot in the drive, and you do NOT want to run it. It's likely upper gears, and as pieces have started to come apart they can and will turn the rest of the internals of your drive into apple sauce.

Another test that is an indicator of something broken inside of the drive:
If you have the boat in the water; with the engine running, have someone else (who you trust) put the boat in gear at idle, while you reach over the transom (VERY carefully) and put your hand on the top cap of the drive. If you feel it tapping, shut it down; because you are going in for drive work.

Brand new parts can go bad, especially when there is a bad casting or similar.
