Default SSM Extension Boxes

I have the new drives and boxes for my Scarab, and my question is for the boxes. The merc diagram shows a flat plate to be used inside of the transom but I do not have that plate. I do have the SSM inner plate, can this be used? Is there any reason why you would need to use the larger box plate?

If it matters, I'm running #V drives with 1000 hp.

The Mercury box came with a flat plate. I has a much smaller transom cutout, just for driveline, no steering arm. You will need a remote drive reservoir. I like the Latham steering reservoir for this. I may still have a new plate & the special gasket. Don

If you have the plate, and gasket, PM me what you want for them.
