Kiekhaefer J1171 trim pump pressure
I test two pumps. 1 has 3400psi up and 2000 down.
2nd has 2000psi up and 800psi down. Can i adjust pressure or pump is it worn out.

Don't take this for gospel, but I know Merc made a high pressure/low volume pump and a high volume/ low pressure pump. The J1171 is the marine certification number, not the part number, so I'll leave it to someone else to decipher the way to tell the difference. You might have one of each. I used the high pressure on the K-planes and the high volume (faster response) on the drives.

Merc fump pumps
I have these 2 pumps, (new in boxes) not sure of application: Mercury # 97528-A7 No external release valve. May be "High pressure/low volume" for KPlanes ????
Mercury # 92975-A22 Has external relief valve. May be used on 2.4/2.5 EFI Offshore/Bass engines.
"High volume/low pressure for power trim.???
