Motors out/gimbal ring and helmet removal.
I’m not a home for a couple weeks and in the pics I’m looking at I cant quite tell if this is possible but I believe it is. I think Merc says its possible too.
Can I remove my gimbal ring w/out cutting holes in the outter transom assembly “IF” my motors are out, and my factory bravo tiller/steering arms are cut off? I have full hyd external steering so the inner bravo steering arms are cut off short. AND if so can I install items 4-5 and 6 in this fashion too? Thanks fellas. Genuine Mercury & Mercruiser parts. Gimbal Housing

]Depends on the cutout. you have to be avle to get a wrench on the nut above the steering arm. but it the motors out, it wont take you much to pull the transom assembly if you have too
If your doing it because the seal is leaking, you will probably end up replacing the pin if its worn or corroded or it will just eat the new seal. There are MUCH cheaper alternatives than the merc pin too
