Default Broke my prop shaft on Bravo

Have a Donzi 33 with 2x502mpi st 450hp
last week end I broke one propeller shaft so lost the prop with the rear of the shaft.

What do you recommend I do
1 change the shaft 500$ plus work comes over 1000$
2 change the lower unit can find
new lower unit (not original merceriser) for 1000$
3 find a user lower unit

any comment welcome
thanks

I'd slap a SEI lower unit on it. Buddy of mine put one on a 43 BT a few years ago, no issues that I know of.

Yes heard they are good from my local Engine shop in St Pete.
He recommended a new SEI lower unit rather than rebuilding my original Bravo 1
they are 995$ plus various washers, Bolts and anodes and of course the prop

When mounting the lower unit, did your friend get any leak between lower and upper they say it can happen frequently??
thanks
